This research and creative project aimed to design a heritage route through three of Medellín's market squares: La Placita de Flórez, Plaza de La América, and Plaza Minorista. Using historical documentation, the project explored the city's urban evolution, the architecture that houses the commercial activity, and the fundamental role of corn and beans in our food culture.

The process included tours and group experiences to discuss, listen to, and appreciate the architectural values, the food circulating in these spaces, and the life stories of those who inhabit them. The aim was to promote food culture and food sovereignty, broadening understanding of food origins, the impact of consumption choices, and the importance of market squares as part of the city's cultural heritage.
